1. Is 3 days enough for Tangier with a car?

Yes, 3 days covers medina/Kasbah, Cap Spartel/Hercules/Achakkar, plus one day trip to Asilah or Tetouan/M’diq (90–140 km). Total driving 160–230 km. Add a 4th day only if you want Chefchaouen (110 km each way, better as overnight).

2. Should I choose Asilah or Tetouan for Day 3?

Choose Asilah for easy, artsy, relaxed coast (94 km round trip, no mountains, family-friendly). Choose Tetouan + M’diq for deeper culture + resort beaches (140 km, UNESCO medina, calmer Med swimming). Both cost 20–30 MAD parking and 150–250 MAD fuel.

3. Where do I park in Tangier medina?

Park at Parking Ibn Battouta, Grand Socco, or Marina Bay underground (30–50 MAD/day guarded) and walk 5–10 minutes. Do not drive into the medina — it is pedestrian/narrow. For corniche evenings, Marina parking is safest overnight.

4. How much does 3 days in Tangier cost with rental car?

Excluding flights: budget 1,400–2,200 MAD/person (guesthouse + street food + economy car share), mid-range 2,800–4,200 MAD, comfort 4,500–6,500 MAD. Car economy 300–450 MAD/day + fuel ~200 MAD + tolls 30 MAD + parking 120 MAD for 3 days.

5. What changes during Ramadan or rain?

Ramadan: sights open but lunch spots limited daytime; avoid driving 19:00–20:30 iftar rush; dinners festive — book ahead. Rain (Nov–Feb): swap beach afternoons for museums (American Legation, Villa Harris), keep Rmilat forest for light rain, reduce speed to 80 km/h on N-roads, and carry a windbreaker — Atlantic chill is real.
